Gum trees (Eucalyptus spp) are some of the most "untidy" looking trees around. I've been pracitcing painting them today. This particular tree grows along a fence line in a paddock near my studio at Hamilton.
The paddocks are green (unusual for this time of the year) because of significant recent rain... and even some during the summer.
And then there is a little hill, right near Allen Creek and the Tarnma Road...
.... putting my "tree skills" into practice.

It's called mount Allen Jane
Thanks David.... Mt Allen. I've often looked at that little mountain, but I've never known what it was called.
